The Prescott Flyers finally got that monkey off their back, picking up their first win since October 22nd when they beat the last place Renfrew Timberwolves 5-4 in overtime on Saturday night.
The win snapped an eight game losing streak for Prescott, but also handed Renfrew their eighth loss in a row.
It was another dose of reality on Sunday for how tough the division really is though. The Flyers travelled to Richmond for an early afternoon game where they were handed a 12-4 loss by the Royals.
Captain Greg Heika was the high scorer on the weekend grabbing four points as well as the overtime winner on Saturday night.
