Here’s what’s happening in Prescott:
St.Mark Catholic School in Prescott is getting ready for Wishbone Day.
Scheduled for Monday, students and staff at the school will be wearing yellow to raise awareness about Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as Brittle Bone Disease.
They are asking everyone to wear yellow in support of one of the school’s students who has this condition.
Next week is Mental Health Week.
The Leeds, Grenville, and Lanark District Health Unit says this year’s theme is “A Call to be Kind.”
They are promoting the healing powers of compassion and how it can affect your mental health and your physical health.
Earlier this week, Leeds and Grenville OPP officers teamed up to deliver training to the newest Project Lifesaver partners in eastern Ontario.
Project Lifesaver uses state-of-the-art technology to provide assistance in locating those who wander.
The Brockville General Hospital and Thousand Islands National Park were also part of the training.
The 169th Spencerville Fair is calling all teachers and support staff to participate in school exhibits.
There are competitions from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.
