Here’s what’s happening in Prescott:
The Youth Work and Wellness Fair is scheduled for May 7 at South Grenville District High School.
It’s running from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. with an evening session from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Organizers say the event will help students and parents connect with local resources about community agencies and employers.

The South Grenville Food Bank is thanking the local fire department for holding a food drive last month.
They say the drive, put on by the Leeds and Grenville Fire Department, brought in a total of 3,765 pounds of food amounting to a total value of $4872.
They say we are all feeling the crunch these days and a little help goes a long way.

Registration is now open for the 2024 Terry Fox Run in Prescott.
It’s scheduled to take place on September 15 and begins at the Kinsmen Ampitheatre.

It’s National Immunization Week.
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit says this year’s theme “Protect your future, get immunized.”
They say it’s a reminder of the power of vaccines in preventing illness and severe symptoms and keeping vaccine-preventable diseases from resurfacing in our communities.
