The community is being warned about the ongoing dangerous toxic substance supply in our region.
Officials with the Leeds, Grenville, and Lanark District Health Unit say it comes after there was a higher-than-usual number of overdoses on Friday in Brockville.
They say Naloxone continues to be recommended to reduce the effect of overdoses; however, it may be less effective because of the contamination of other substances such as benzodiazepines and xylazine.
All overdoses are a medical emergency and calling 911 remains the most important step in saving someone’s life.
