Tim Hortons’ Smile Cookie initiative is early this year.
The annual campaign, raising money for local projects and initiatives all over Canada, runs from May 1st to 7th.
Normally held in September, the fundraiser lets people buy one-dollar cookies at participating locations, with all the proceeds staying in the region.
All proceeds from sales in Prescott will be put towards the fund for building the town’s new arena, the Alaine Chartrand Arena and Recreation Complex.
Other locations in nearby communities are supporting the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, and the Winchester District Memorial Hospital.
