OFSC Shuts Down Majority Of Southern Trails

Snowmobile season is over for Prescott residents.

The OFSC says they are ending their snowmobile operations for many of their southern districts, due to the mild and rainy weather experienced across the province.

Grenville Snowmobile Association President Bernie Davy says they are also asking riders to respect landowners by staying off red trails.

“The water and mud conditions have materialized with the warm weather,” he said. “So basically, that resulted in all trails on the guide being turned to red, and they are closed for the season.”

Davy says failure to stay off the trails can result in trespassing charges.
