Prescott boat launch reopened

The municipal boat launch in Prescott has reopened.

The town says Council approved the opening last week. Mayor Brett Todd says even though some restrictions are beginning to be lifted by the province, everyone has to remember that COVID-19 is still out there.

“We need to continue with the social distancing, limits on gatherings, and other measures that have allowed us to handle this virus so well locally over the past couple of months.”

The Open-Air Burn Ban has also been lifted in Prescott. The town says only small confined fires that are used for the purpose of cooking/recreational enjoyment, meet all by-law regulations and are always supervised are permitted.
