The Town of Prescott has announced a new Manager of Building and By-Law Services.
Shawn Merriman has been appointed to the position. He will also be responsible for the Town’s Chief Building Official duties in this position.
Merriman’s most recent role was as Manager of Development Services at the Central Frontenac Municipality. He has worked at similar occupations at the local government level for over ten years.
Mayor Brett Todd says “his wealth of experience and knowledge will be a huge asset for us, and I look forward to him sharing those skills with us in Prescott.”
Merriman adds he looks forward to “providing the best service possible to residents, contractors, visitors, and Council. By working together, Prescott will have no limits to what it can accomplish.”
Merriman will begin on July 9th.
