Leeds-Grenville Warden’s Award nominations now open

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville is calling on residents to nominate local business and community leaders for recognition.

Nominations are being accepted for this year’s Bill Thake Economic Development Leadership Award.

Also called the Leeds-Grenville Warden’s Award, it’s presented every year to commemorate residents’ work to improve their local economy.

Past winners include North Grenville’s Dermid O’Farrell and Cathy Sheppard and Rideau Lakes’ Susan Warren and Ken Watson.

Nominees need to live and work in one of the United Counties’ member municipalities.

The deadline to submit a nomination is September 22nd, and the award will be presented at this year’s Economic Development Summit in mid-November.

You can find a nomination form on the United Counties website.
