Prescott Committee of the Whole is suggesting the town enter into an agreement with Ken Miller Excavating Limited.
The town has determined the sewers and water lines on Linda Street and Linda Place need to be redone and, once approved by Council, the agreement would see Ken Miller handle the work. Eight contractors were invited to offer tenders and only two bids were submitted, with the Miller tender coming in at almost $80,000 less.
According to the town Ken Miller has completed a number of infrastructure projects locally and is the preferred civil vendor of the town. Construction is expected to start in mid-April and the estimated date of completion is August 30th.
