Here’s what’s happening in Prescott:
You’re being reminded to take steps and strategies to prevent being bitten by a dog.
This is Dog Bite Prevention Week and the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit says they responded to over 500 incidents of people being bitten by animals last year.
Health unit officials say a large proportion of these incidents involved dogs and in almost all of these incidents, the bite could have been prevented.
It’s been a big start to 2024 at the Prescott Golf Club.
A day after the solar eclipse, golfer Austin Greenham recorded a hole-in-one on hole 17 on Tuesday morning.
His playing partners described Austin’s shot as “absolutely perfect”.
Volunteers are being sought to help out with the Prescott Figure Skating Club’s first skating competition.
It’s taking place at the Alaine Chartrand Community Centre in Prescott on Saturday.
They are hoping to find high school students in need of volunteer hours, past or present members, or others.
More information can be found on the Town of Prescott’s Facebook page.
An evening of comedy, magic, and illusion is coming up for Community Living North Grenville.
Their annual comedy and auction is taking place on April 20th at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.
