Here’s what’s happening in Prescott:

You’ll soon be paying more for garbage bag tags.
Earlier this month, Prescott Town Council approved an increase in the cost from $1.50 per tag or $15.00 per sheet.
It’s now $2.00 per tag or $20.00 per sheet.
The increase goes into effect on May 1st.

Curling season has wrapped up in Prescott for another year.
Members are reminded that now is the time to get their gear cleaned up and ready for next season.
The ice is expected to go back in around the end of September.

The Spencerville and District Optimist Club is preparing to host its third annual dinner auction.
It’s scheduled for Saturday, May 11th at the Drummond Building.
Tickets are $35.00.
Organizers say the money raised will go towards empowering youth in our community.

Can you dance, sing, or even do impressions?
The deadline for submissions for Kemptville’s Got Talent is coming up on April 30th.
Last year’s winner on the community stage at the event, Skye Filion, is returning this year as one of the pro buskers and has been traveling across Ontario since the inaugural event in 2022.
