Excitement is building around the fifth annual Upper Canada Folkfest in Prescott.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th at the Kinsmen Amphitheater in Prescott.
Organizers say announcements will be coming soon about tickets, the lineup, and the event.

The South Grenville Food Bank in Prescott is looking for donations for its Bottles for Babies program.
They are collecting alcohol bottles and cans, pop cans, and scrap metal.
Money raised from the donations will be used for a variety of needs such as diapers, formula, and baby bottles to name a few.

An upcoming event is aimed at teaching you about how you can improve your heart health.
The Prescott Family Health Team is holding it on Wednesday, May 8th from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
You’re asked to register by April 19th and more details can be found on the team’s website.

Calling all entrepreneurs.
The Township of Front of Yonge is now accepting proposals to operate the canteen at the Recreation Park in Mallorytown.
The canteen is open from Victoria Day to Labour Day, at a minimum.
The deadline to apply is May 1st.
