Nominations for Leeds Grenville Immigrant Entrepreneur Award are now being accepted

Nominations are now being accepted for the third annual Leeds Grenville Immigrant Entrepreneur Award.

To be eligible for the award nominees must have been born outside of Canada, be an owner or operator of an active business in the Leeds Grenville area, reside in Leeds Grenville and display the traits of a successful entrepreneur. The award recognises and celebrates the contributions immigrants make to the Leeds Grenville area through their business savvy. The award was created in 2015 as a joint project between St. Lawrence-Rideau Immigration Partnership and the Leeds Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre.

The winner will be presented with a personalised plaque at the Bridges to Better Business Conference that will be held in Brockville during late October. The winner is expected to attend the conference and be part of a short video recognising and announcing the award.

To nominate an entrepreneur fill out the form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BRNXFRS. Nominations can also be submitted by emailing a completed form to [email protected] or delivering a printed copy to the Employment + Education Centre offices in Brockville. The form can be found attached at the bottom of this story.

All nominations will be judged by members of the St. Lawrence-Rideau Immigration Partnership Council and judging is based on key criteria like perseverance, versatility, patience and community contributions.
