Arrest from unrelated incident

Police say they have made an arrest while mediating an unrelated situation.

Brockville Police say they were called to a Ferguson Drive residence late Friday evening to deal with a complaint of a person refusing to leave a residence after eviction. According to police they arrived at the residence and learned the evicted female was trying to take a bicycle the property owner claimed she did not own.

Police say that while they were trying to defuse the situation there was also a 25-year-old male present who was known to police. After further investigation officers say they discovered the man had an outstanding warrant for breach of probation. According to police they arrested him and he has since been released with a future court date.
