Prescott has successfully made it through the first round of applications in the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund. Mayor Brett Todd says it’s really good news and they are hopeful the funding will be granted for an important road reconstruction project.
Todd says St. Lawrence Street dates back to the 1920’s so all the services under the pavement need to be redone.
Town staff have to provide more detailed information on the project by the first week of January. Final funding approval is expected before the end of March.
