Syrian refugee family arrives in Kemptville

One Syrian refugee family has arrived in Kemptville, and a second should be on the way in the near future. Refugees in North Grenville, in partnership with the Federal Government, received their first sponsored family on Friday. Vice-Chair of R.I.N.G. and Pastor Ken Gehrels says the family of five is getting settled in. Gehrels says RING supports the family financially for up to a year, but also helps them out in other ways.

Gehrels says the family of five is slowly acclimating to its new home.

R.I.N.G. is also going to support a second refugee family. Most of the legwork is done. Now, RING members have to wait for the paperwork process to be completed to bring a second family to Kemptville. You can find out more about the organization by visiting http://www.refugeesng.com/.
