KDH is getting a funding boost through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund. Kemptville District Hospital will receive over $416,000 dollars this year for repairs and upgrades. KDH CEO Frank Vassallo says they money is earmarked for a specific need at KDH.
Vassallo explains that these kinds of projects can’t come out of regular operating dollars.
Vassallo says he acknowledges the support of the Champlain LHIN in acquiring the funding. Perth and Smith Falls District Hospital and Brockville General Hospital also received funding towards infrastructure renewal through the HIRF funding this year.
