Residents near the 401 Edward Street interchange ramps may hear overnight construction work for six days between September 8th and October 14th. Council has approved a request to exempt the Ministry of Transportation from the municipality’s noise bylaw to allow work to be done overnight on the ramps. Because the work would slow traffic down during daytime hours, MTO wants to complete the work at night. Council is requesting additional information as to the scope of the project and whether or not the work includes the overpass as well.
