Fort Town Night Run organizer explains fundraising goal, Star Wars theme

Michel Larose hopes to see at least 500 runners register to take part in this year’s Fort Town Night Run.

Larose, with the Greater Fort Town Area Charity, is helping to organize this year’s version of the annual fundraiser.

“This year, our goal is $12,000,” Larose says. “So, our goal is basically 500 registrations for the run.”

Like past years, Larose also says this year has a special theme.

“This year, on May 4th, because it’s the first Saturday of May, it’s going to be all about Star Wars,” he says. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in costumes for the event.

Five, ten and fifteen kilometre runs will be available, along with a one kilometre “fun run” for kids.

You can find more details and sign up for the event on the Fort Town Night Run website.
