You’ll need to take down your ice fishing huts soon.
Per Ontario Fish and Wildlife, ice fishing huts must be removed in March across the province.
The specific date you’ll need to remove your hut by will depend on which Fisheries Management Zone it’s in, but the agency recommends you act quickly to take it down before the ice breaks up.
In our area, huts need to come down no later than March 15th.
