Masking restrictions ease at Winchester District Memorial Hospital

As local COVID-19 numbers continue to decline, the Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is easing some of its restrictions.

According to Communications Lead Jane Adams, patients, staff members and visitors are no longer required to wear masks in public areas like hallways, elevators and the cafeteria.

Everyone will still need to wear masks in clinical areas like waiting rooms and the Emergency Department, and Adams says masks will still be available at the hospital’s entrances for people who want them.

Anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 is still being asked to stay home, unless they need to receive care.

Anyone with questions or concerns can contact WDMH’s Chief Executive Officer, Cholly Boland, through email or by calling the hospital.
