Take a moment to run your tap before you do any laundry for the next few weeks to make sure the water isn’t discolored.
That’s a message from the Town of Prescott. Staff members say the town’s hydrants are being flushed throughout the month of May.
The flushing could cause your tap water to become discolored. Staff members say that it’s completely normal but could stain your clothes in the wash.
If your water does come out discolored, they say you should keep the tap running until it becomes clear again.
