Brockville Police and Fire departments were called to a local campground to help put out a fire Monday night. Around 10:30pm officers went to St. Lawrence Park, where a family had been arguing. The 56-year-old father became angry when his son’s girlfriend insisted the Earth was flat.
The older man argued the world was round. He began throwing their items into the campfire, including a flammable propane cylinder. By the time officers arrived, the man had left the area. Police are now looking for him so they can charge him with mischief. There was no resolution to the argument about the shape of the planet.
