Prescott is PROUD to rejuvenate shorelines and businesses this week

The Town of Prescott is pleased to announce the launch of Prescott PROUD Campaign Week, today through Sunday. The Town’s beautification strategy, Prescott PROUD means  “People Rejuvenating Our Uptown & Downtown”. The campaign aims to instill a sense of civic pride back into the hearts of Prescottonians.

Prescott PROUD 2016 Campaign Week will see municipal workers all working together to complete projects directed at beautifying the town throughout the week. Examples include the planting of flowers in the King Street benches, hanging floral displays, installing new signage at the waterfront Shakespeare Gardens, planting of shrubs and flowers, general tidies of town gardens, painting many surfaces all around town, beginning work on the clock tower, increasing street lighting downtown and tidying the beach for the season.

Residents, community groups, and local businesses are all encouraged to participate in the Prescott PROUD 2016 Campaign Week, challenged to match the heightened efforts of municipal workers in beautifying our community. This is a multi-year strategy with the next major milestone being our participation in the 150th anniversary of Canada celebrations in 2017.
