MPP Clark speaks up in Queen’s Park as #‎AutismDoesntEndAt5‬

Leeds Grenville MPP Steve Clark is speaking up for those who can’t speak for themselves. The provincial government recently made the decision to eliminate Intensive Behavourial Intervention or IBI therapy for autistic children over the age of five. Clark outlined the experiences of local families in his address at Queen’s Park, including that of a five-year-old autistic boy named Aidan.

In response, the Minister of Child and Youth Services says changes were made to improve a non-sustainable system. Clark says when Aidan’s parents approached Leeds Grenville service providers about the Applied Behavioural Analysis that is supposed to support autistic children over the age of five, they didn’t even know what it was.

The video of the question is available at: https://www.facebook.com/steveclarkmpp/?fref=ts
