If you have an active young athlete in your family, you need to be part of the “Heads Up!” workshop on concussion awareness happening next week. North Grenville District High School Parent Council Chair Margaret Armour says there will be two presentations teaching parents, students and staff how to identify and treat a concussion. The first will be from Upper Canada District School Board Superintendent Dave Coombs.
We are currently learning the dangerous impact of serial concussions on our young athletes. Coombs will be giving the presentation that he gave to UCDSB staff on how to prevent and recognize concussion.
The “Heads Up!” workshop on concussion awareness takes place next Tuesday, May 24th at 7:00pm at North Grenville District High School in Kemptville. All are welcome to attend.
