YMCA Eastern Ontario Prioritizing Member Safety Ahead Of Lockdown

YMCA of Eastern Ontario will be making some adjustments in light of the province’s looming lockdown.

In order to combat the spread of COVD-19, all memberships will be placed on hold with no membership fees charged during the lockdown.

The Y says the re-opening of its health and fitness facilities is set for January 25th 2021.

For children enrolled in childcare, programs and fees will continue as usual.

School-age care offered at the Brockville YMCA will continue until January 3 – but it will not be offered from January 4th-8th.

For children enrolled in school-age-care programs delivered off site, service will be interrupted as there will be no access to these facilities.

In the case of suspended service, fees will not be drawn during the period in question and will automatically resume once the Y reopens.

The organization is not sure how the second closure will affect it, but it remains committed to building stronger, healthier communities.
