Ottawa OPP has released more information about a seven-vehicle pileup that happened yesterday evening.
OPP responded last night around 7 PM to the incident on the northbound 416 on the Rideau River Bridge. Police say that temperatures were near freezing at the time. They say a 24-year-old driver suffered serious injuries when he got out of his vehicle and was struck by another vehicle. He remains in critical condition at Ottawa Hospital. No other injuries are being reported.
Police say the 416 was closed for several hours due to the collision. Technical Collision Investigators attended the scene to determine the cause of the accident.
