County Road 44 south of Kemptville is getting a touch-up before the snow flies. United Counties of Leeds Grenville is reconstructing 4 kms of 44, from just south of County Road 20 and heading north.
The project consists of the reconstruction of 4 km of County Road 44 south of Kemptville, including approximately 1 km of cut/fill grading to improve vertical alignment, minor widening throughout and complete resurfacing of the roadway.
The contractor, Cruickshank Construction, expects work to begin immediately and wrap up by the end of November. This section of roadway will be restricted to local traffic only for the duration of the project.
