You still have time to nominate someone for an award at the South Grenville Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet.
With a theme of “Today’s Youth Tomorrow’s Business Leaders,” there are four award categories. One of the organizers, Joan Rupert-Barkley, says the awards are to highlight people who have made a significant contribution in the area.
The awards are the Mike Boyles Memorial Corporate Service Award, the Community Artistic and Cultural Contribution Award, the Connie Dickey Youth of the Year Award and the Reverend Gerry Ring Memorial Community Service Award.
Rupert-Barkley says people of all ages can be nominated, except for the Connie Dickey award and a panel chooses the winners. Nominations should be in by September 30th.

The banquet will be held on October 29th at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 105 in Cardinal. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased now.
