The Champions for Kids Foundation Country Hoedown has raised $9,500 to help improve the lives of students in our communities. The event took place on March 5th at Seaway District High School in Iroquois. The annual charity ball attracted 200 guests who dressed in country clothing, enjoyed a chili dinner and danced the night away to live music.
The money raised will be used to support C4K, the charitable arm of the Upper Canada District School Board. The charity was formed in January 2008 to discreetly help level the playing field for UCDSB children and their families.
