Nine films made the final cut for the MyView Film Festival this year. The awards ceremony is set for June 6 at the Brockville Arts Centre, starting at 7:00pm. Tickets for the event are free and available through Eventbrite.
Local finalists include Precious Cargo by Joy Covey, Creativity is Courage by Jaida McCain and It’s Your Choice by Lauren Armstrong, Leah Garrah, Leah Hamlen and Hannah Pruner.
The festival was open to youth between the ages of 10 and 24. Winners will be chosen by a panel of celebrity judges, including North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford and Prescott Mayor Brett Todd.
A $1,000 grand prize is up for grabs, sponsored by McGahey Insurance and Grenville Mutual.
