Champions for Kids welcomes new president

Casey Nelson is the new president for the Upper Canada Champions for Kids Foundation. The organization subsidizes the cost of sporting activities, winter clothing and eyewear for students who couldn’t otherwise afford them.

Nelson has been involved with Champions for Kids for the past six years. He is a 15-year veteran teacher and administrator with the Upper Canada District School Board.

Nelson says he has seen first hand how the foundation makes a difference for students and families. He says he’s proud to lead the organization and build on the work of past president David Morrison.
