Environment Canada has issued a sever thunderstorm watch for the Prescott area.
Dangerous thunderstorms may develop that could produce damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Thunderstorms are expected to develop before a cold front beginning this afternoon. Wind gusts could get up to 100 kilometres an hour. Environment Canada anticipates the storms to move through the area by early evening.
