Brett Todd will be the Town of Prescott’s Mayor for a third term.
Todd was the only person to register for the position in the nomination period that ended on Friday. He was first elected Mayor in 2010 and then re-elected in 2014.
Todd was Chair of the Eastern Ontario Mayor’s Committee from 2012 to 2104 and is currently a member of the Prescott Police Services Board and the Prescott BIA Board of Directors.
Coast FM went out on the streets to find out what people thought of the acclamation:
Teresa Jansman, Luis Zelayeta, Lee McConnell, Fraser Laschinger, Michael Ostrander, Ray Young, Sandra Iseman, Leanne Burton, Kevin Bunce, Gauri Shankar and Thomas Dixon are all running for the position of Councillor.
The Municipal Election is set for October 22nd.
