Joel Kimmel Illustrations designed the commemorative coin for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The illustrator has worked on about 25 coins for the Royal Canadian Mint. Owner Joel Kimmel says the mint reached out to him.
Kimmel’s work has appeared in Time, Forbes, Men’s Health and Entertainment Weekly. The Westport resident has been an illustrator for 12 years. Kimmel says the wedding coin was on a tight timeline.
Kimmel is currently working on a couple other projects for the Mint and portraits for Food & Wine Magazine. He is also working on a joint venture with his wife called Every Chip Stand, which involves portraits of all the chip stands in Ontario. For more information about Kimmel, click here.
