The House of Lazarus (HOL) is starting a new program. The Birthday Club will launch in September. Food bank clients with kids will have access to all the things you need to throw a birthday party. Executive Director Cathy Ashby says the HOL is reaching out to the community for donations to make the program a success.
The HOL will use the donations to put together birthday bags for clients. There will also be a new shelf in the food bank for clients to choose birthday gifts for their kids. Ashby says about one-third of the people the food bank feeds are kids.
The HOL serves clients from South Grenville, North Grenville, South Dundas and North Dundas. To donate to the program, stop by the HOL located at 2245 Simms Street in Mountain. For more information about the HOL, click here.
