Royal Canadian Navy ship to make an appearance in Prescott

A Royal Canadian Navy ship will make a visit to Prescott later this summer.

According to the Department of National Defence, The HMCS Moncton, a Kingston-class coastal defence vessel is expected to make the stop on July 27th and 28th.

The release states that the deployment across the St Lawrence River and Great Lakes aims to inform Canadians about their Navy and its various roles. DND says members do this through activities such as guided ship tours and demonstrations.

The HMCS Moncton has served in the Canadian Forces since 1998.
