The South Grenville Chamber of Commerce has approached the town about helping them celebrate 125 years.
President of the Chamber Bonnie Pidgeon-Cougler asked the town’s Committee of the Whole for $500 to help cover the cost of a celebratory event planned for the spring. According to Pidgeon-Cougler they will be partnering with the Grenville Historic Society and there will be town tours led by members of the historical society.
Pidgeon-Cougler says they are also planning a time capsule but they haven’t decided what date it should be reopened on. She adds that the purpose of the presentation was not only to ask for the money, but also to ensure the town is engaged with the Chamber of Commerce.
The 125th anniversary party will be from 5:00 to 7:00pm on April 24th at the Prescott Legion
