2018 Project Planning Survey results

The Town of Prescott has released the results of their 2018 Project Planning Survey.

Town Treasurer Mathew Armstrong says they received 94 completed surveys, with just over 70 per cent of the takers living in Prescott town-limits. Just over 60 per cent of the surveys said the town should be focusing on a mix of current and new facilities or infrastructure, not just building new or maintaining the existing.

When asked to prioritize spending in 2018 over 75 per cent of those surveyed said creating a plan to renovate or replace the Leo Boivin Community Centre should be the biggest priority. In second place was the construction of a splash pad at just over 40 per cent. According to survey takers the five most used locations in town are; Riverwalk Park with 74 votes, Leo Boivin Community Centre with 69 votes, Sandra S. Lawn Harbour and Marina with 67 votes, Heritage River Trail with 61 votes and Neighbourhood Parks with 54 votes.

The town will use the survey results to create a budget the meets as many of the public’s requests as possible.
