The Prescott Flyers Are Moving Out Of Town

The Prescott Flyers have been bought and are moving to the Pembroke area.

Pembroke Lumber Kings President Dale McTavish confirmed the sale to Coast FM, and that the team will be moving and ready to play for next season.

McTavish said the team will continue to play in the CCHL2 division but will not be called the Flyers anymore. The name and specific location of where the team will play will be determined within the next few weeks according to McTavish.

The Lumber Kings President says he has been interested in acquiring a new team since the league announced the three division tiers of U-18, the CCHL2, and the CCHL. McTavish is hoping the team can advance through the standings to eventually become a Junior A team.

Players currently on the Flyers’ roster will be given the option to move with the franchise or relocate to a new team if they wish to play closer to home.
