Two men face charges after knife assault in Brockville

Two men face charges after an assault with a knife in Brockville. Police say they got a call from a man reporting he had almost been stabbed in the face on Sunday night at a home on King Street East. When police arrived to the apartment, they found a man holding a knife to the victim’s face. A police investigation found the accused and another man had broken into the home and damaged property. The 45-year–old victim knew both of the accused, and suffered a swollen face and small lacerations, but refused medical attention. A 26-year-old man who broke in has been arrested, and faces charges for assault with a weapon, break and enter, assault, mischief and breach of probation. A 36-year-old male accomplice has been charged with break and enter and mischief, and has been released with a future court date.
