After a season to remember the Kemptville 73’s are looking to keep rolling in the postseason.
The 73’s wrapped up their 2025-26 regular season with a 3-0 win in Nepean on Sunday afternoon with Travis Ouellette, Lucas Achim and Gavin McDougall scoring and Keegan Carswell stopping all 27 shots he faced for his fourth shutout of the season.
On Friday night, the 73’s set a new record for most goals scored in a game in a 15-0 victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings.
Rylan Donovan secured a 14 save shutout, his seventh of the season, to set a new team record for clean sheets by a goalie in a single season.
Kemptville finished the 2025-26 regular season in fourth place in the Central Canada Hockey League with a 55GP-36W-16L-2 Overtime Losses-1 Shootout Loss-75 Points record, tying team records for most points and most wins in a season.
Terry Nichols has been the General Manager of the 73’s since 2012 and he tells Moose FM that this season’s team is among the very best.
“They have a lot of commonalities, they had good goaltending, good defence, and balance throughout the offence.”
The 73’s will take on the Navan Grads in the first round of the playoffs which begin on Thursday night at the North Grenville Municipal Centre.
