March Break activities happening in Prescott

The Town of Prescott has you covered for March Break. Activities are happening daily. A Paint & Pot workshop is set for Monday at the municipal building. It runs from 1:00 to 2:30pm. Participants will get two pots to paint and learn how to care for the plants.

Girls Inc. is running a STEAM Day event on Tuesday at the Leo Boivin Community Centre. Pyjamas on Prince Street is set for Wednesday, also at the Leo. The original Land Before Time will be shown. Admission is free.

Recreation Coordinator Katie Forrester says kids are encouraged to wear their pyjamas and bring a blanket to lay out on while watching the movie. She says the parent council from Wellington Elementary is running the canteen.

Casual drop-in ball hockey and mini-sticks is being held on Thursday, from 10:00-11:30am and again from 2:00 to 3:30pm.

The week wraps up on Friday with Touch-A-Truck. The free event kicks off at 3:00pm and runs until 6:00pm.

Forrester says kids and adults alike can look at the trucks, climb inside and take a look around. She says it’s an indoor/outdoor event, featuring family games, bouncy castle and popcorn.
