Hydro One returns to winter hours. On-peak times are from 7:00am to 11:00am and from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Hydro One says time-of-use pricing better reflects the true cost of power. It says customers are charged more for electricity when it’s more expensive to produce and encourages customers to use the bulk of their power when rates are cheapest.
