Three people extricated by firefighters after collision in Osgoode

An investigation is underway after a two-vehicle collision in Osgoode.

Ottawa firefighters say they received a call around 7:26 a.m. Friday from Ottawa Police requesting their help at the crash scene at the intersection of Nixon Drive and Dalmeny Road.

They say the collision involved a pickup truck and a sedan with both vehicles leaving the road and ending up in the ditch.

Firefighters arrived on scene three minutes after being dispatched and confirmed both vehicles had sustained heavy damage, were in the ditch, and had occupants trapped inside.

They safely extricated one patient from the pickup truck and two patients from the sedan.

Fire officials say they then left the scene in the control of OPS.
