OPP have now identified the person killed in a two-vehicle collision south of Kemptville.
Grenville County OPP say an 18-year-old female from Russell, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was later pronounced dead at hospital. The vehicle she was in had four occupants. Two of the occupants sustained life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle sustained serious injuries.
Police say first responders were called to the two-vehicle crash on County Road 44 between Bedell Road and Beach Road around 9:35 a.m. Sunday.
Members of Grenville County OPP are continuing the investigation with support from the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team.

One person is dead and five others are injured after a collision south of Kemptville.

Police say six people were taken to hospital with “varying injuries.”
One was pronounced dead in hospital.
The road was closed in the area for most of Sunday as investigators were at the scene.
It has since reopened.
