Edwardsburgh Cardinal Township marks community improvement milestone

It’s being called an important milestone in Edwardsburgh Cardinal Township.

Council members joined with Royal Canadian Legion Branch 105 executives in Cardinal on Thursday to recognize the completion of accessibility improvements supported through the township’s community improvement plan and present a cheque for $5,000.

Officials say the project involved replacing uneven mixed-type flooring throughout the legion’s community hall and bar area with one continuous flooring surface designed to improve accessibility and ease of movement.

The project represents a total investment of approximately $19,364 with support provided through the CIP.

It’s the first completed project to be approved under our new community improvement plan.

Officials say it demonstrates how the program can support improvements that strengthen community spaces and enhance accessibility.
