Watermain flushing starting in North Grenville

North Grenville residents are getting a heads up about water main flushing.

A notice on social media says Kemptville’s water mains will be cleaned starting on Thursday to remove sediment and iron that has gradually built up in the pipes.

It will be taking place from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in most areas.

There may be temporary pressure fluctuations during flushing but officials say this won’t pose a health hazard.

Homeowners can run the water until it becomes clear if there is temporary discolouration.
